Operational safety is not just about compliance with regulations. It involves daily decisions, the way technical teams operate, and an organizational culture that recognizes risks before incidents occur. In many companies, safety remains the domain of the HSE department, while operational leaders lack the necessary training to effectively support it in practice.
The training "Operational Safety in Practice" is an intensive two-day program that develops key competencies for technical leaders, engineers, maintenance specialists, and HSE professionals. Participants learn how to make decisions under uncertainty, how to analyze operational risk from a technical team's perspective, and how to build habits that genuinely impact safety—without excessive bureaucracy.
In the program, we combine real industry cases, practical tools that support daily operations, and leadership coaching. We place particular emphasis on building a common language between the maintenance department, production, and HS, so that safety becomes a result of collaboration rather than isolated actions.
The training is conducted by practitioners who daily support industrial plants in the areas of safety, reliability, and operational leadership.
You will learn to make decisions in risky and non-obvious situations – consciously, based on tools rather than habits.
You will become familiar with specific methods for analyzing incidents and operational risks – including Swiss Cheese, Bow-Tie, RCA, DRA, Permit to Work.
You will practice creating your own risk assessment scenarios and planning for atypical tasks – ready to apply after the training.
You will strengthen your position as an operational leader – effectively communicating hazards, decisions, and requirements within the team.
You will receive a set of materials, checklists, and matrices – ready for use in the daily work of the technical team.
